James is an executive and consultant specializing in transportation terminals and infrastructure as well as last-mile logistics operations. He works with transportation companies on a variety of projects in policy, planning, cost and capacity analysis, technology evaluation, performance benchmarking and valuation. His experience spans aviation, maritime, truck and ground operations. James is currently VP, Logistics for Santa Monica Seafood Co., a $650M food distributor. As part of his role, James oversees private fleet and 3PL operations from 12 terminals including Los Angeles, Chicago, Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Diego and Denver.
As the Assistant Vice President of Final Mile Operations at Hub Group, Justin is responsible for overseeing their extensive Carrier Network and Operations Department. Their carrier network is comprised of two divisions: one managing approximately 200 non-asset-based carriers, and the other, 465 independent contractors. These divisions are integral in supporting their Final Mile, Door to Door, and Dedicated clients. The operations department under Justin's leadership ensures exceptional KPI management, carrier support, and seamless execution.
In August, Justin will celebrate 25 years in the logistics industry. Throughout his career, he has held various roles, from operations and claims management to Senior Director of Network Relations, and his current position as AVP of Final Mile Operations. Justin's extensive experience has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the logistics landscape.

Currently Paul is serving in a senior management role at 5 String Solutions which is a middle ware technology platform. 5 String solutions partners with Shippers and Final Mile Carriers to connect DMS and TMS platforms to optimize data flow and real time shipment visibility. 5 String Solutions provides procurement for Shippers looking to connect with Final Mile carriers for specific service requirements.

Mr. G. Eddie Pillow holds an MBA from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Hampton University. He spent more than 15 years in sales and marketing roles with Sanofi Aventis, Eli Lilly & Company and GE Capital on the West Coast prior to accepting the position of President for Pillow Logistics. Pillow has served as a member of Rotary International, the Indianapolis Chamber, Board member of WFYI, Board member of Child Advocates, a “Big” with Big Brothers of Central Indiana and Committee member on the Mid States Minority, Minority Input Council.
In October 2019, Pillow was named President of Pillow Express Logistics. Under his leadership, Pillow Express has grown from 30 couriers and 15 employees to over 150 couriers and 50 employees in two States. Prior to his promotion as President, he oversaw Sales and Strategic Planning for Pillow Express. Pillow Express has had a long history with the CLDA with its founder Mr. George Pillow Jr. being an active board member of the then MCAA in the mid-1990s.
