about the speaker(s)

Eric Mathis has spent more than 30 years in the transportation industry. He started as an unloader at UPS and quickly became a manager thinking that was truly the way to make lots of money. He spent 5.5 years there in many different management roles before leaving for RPS (before they were purchased by FedEx). Eric worked for FedEx Ground for 23.5 years all over the country (from Portland Oregon to Columbus Ohio and back). He took two months off before joining OnTrac and has been there for five years. Eric's current role is Sr Manager of Negotiations and Recruiting. His team finds carriers that operate under their own operating authority that want to contract with OnTrac to provide first and last mile delivery.

Charlie  Pisciotta is on the business development team of Key Software, an industry  leading carrier management software provider, for 13 years. Throughout that  time, Charlie has worked on software support, mobile app deployment, and now  on the business development team for the last 10 years. He has helped  hundreds of carriers migrate, adopt, and deploy technology throughout their  business. This includes working directly with carriers and shippers to help  integrate seamlessly with shippers’ software to streamline their  workflow.

As the Director of Operations, Chris has overseen 40% growth in engagement and sales from 2022 to present. Chris is building and maintaining a network of over 200  agents in 48 states, providing emergency freight remediation services. Chris is attuned to the demand for reliable, timely, cost effective solutions for carriers and shippers at vetted and insured locations. Chris has a customer service leadership and project management background dating back to 1989 and featuring ownership of a commercial roofing company and production management at manufacturing facilities in both the sheet metal and welding tool industries. Forward goals are to continue to  build and maintain the network they’ve established to become the largest provider to all 3PL’s and transportation management brokers.

Ryan is the CEO and 2nd generation owner of NOW Courier, based in Indiana. He grew up working in the family business, took time to get his degree from Miami University, and eventually came back to work in the family business for the last 19 years. Ryan is passionate about the courier industry and all the great things it does. His people are his passion and he takes great pride in the team they have built at Now Courier.
