description

Independent contractors often face challenges in being acknowledged as entrepreneurs running their own small businesses. In industries such as parcel courier services and big and bulky delivery, ICs are sometimes viewed as temporary workers brought in to manage demand fluctuations. This perception can become even more pronounced during peak periods when the reliance on independent contractors increases, further blurring the line between contractor and employee.

In this session, we'll explore the importance of recognizing independent contractors as small business owners. We'll discuss how their success as business owners not only fosters a more satisfied and motivated workforce but also reduces the risk of misclassification, helping to prevent legal complications and operational disruptions.

Finally, we'll offer practical strategies for providing independent contractors with easy access to the tools and resources they need to build and scale successful small businesses.
